SUMMITS LAWRENCE RECEIVES NURSING AWARD
June 7, 2010 Summit Medical Center announced today that
Charlene Lawrence, Director of Medical/Pediatrics 4th floor, was selected as Summits 2010 winner of the Ruth Harkreader Compassion Award. Mrs. Lawrence was presented the award during a special ceremony at a Nurses Day luncheon on May 28 at the hospital.
The Ruth Harkreader Compassion Award is given in recognition of Nurses Day and is named after Ruth Harkreader in memory of her contribution to the professional practice of nursing at Summit Medical Center. The award recognizes those attributes that are at the core of nursing and embodied through the I-SERVE
with pleasure values. Mrs. Lawrence was nominated by her peers and recognized for her compassion, honesty and integrity.
